Video courses

Video courses are great for all types of groups, but especially for groups where not everyone enjoys reading the same amount. You can run the video courses straight from your laptop, tablet—even your phone!—or connect your TV up for a bigger group to watch.

A paid membership lets you access the courses from anywhere you have an internet connection; there are no discs to lose, or to pass around to people.

A video course doesn't mean silently watching videos in a group, though: there are downloadable discussion and Bible study materials included as well.

Here's an example: one of the videos from the first session of Six Steps to Loving your Church:

Six Steps to Loving Your Church

Six Steps to Loving Your Church

A stimulating video-based course for small groups that will help people to change their whole mindset about church—to learn that ‘loving’ your church doesn’t just mean enjoying it or liking it, but actively serving and loving the people who are the church in whatever way possible.

Six Steps to Reading Your Bible

Six Steps to Reading Your Bible

This six session, video-based course is ideal for small groups, and teaches the basics of the how and why of reading the Bible.

Small group Bible studies

Dig deep into the Bible, or provide new Christians with more confidence in studying the Bible for themselves. These two studies are from our Pathway Bible Guides series—shorter, easier studies that can work for high school level or above.

Beginning with God (Genesis 1–12)

Beginning with God (Genesis 1-12)

These straightforward studies look at the opening chapters of the Bible, and the beginning of everything—of creation, of humanity, of sin, and of God’s amazing plan to rescue us through Jesus. (8 studies)

The Art of Living (Proverbs)

The Art of Living (Proverbs)

"How should I live my life?" When it comes to the art of living, the book of Proverbs is the best place to start, because its wisdom is no less than God’s wisdom. These studies help you to understand what true wisdom is and how true wisdom is ultimately found in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. (8 studies)

These two studies are from our Interactive Bible Studies series—more in-depth for maturing Christians.

The Complete Christian (Colossians)

The Complete Christian (Colossians)

What is the normal Christian life? What should Christians expect to experience? Is it simply a case of 'trust and obey' or is that too simplistic? What does it mean to be fully and genuinely a Christian? Colossians has satisfying answers. (8 studies)

The Blueprint (Doctrine)

The Blueprint (Doctrine)

Look at the interlocking biblical themes which are at the heart of Christian doctrine, concerning God, mankind, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation, resurrection and the life to come. Explore the great biblical themes at the heart of Christian belief. (10 studies)

Read the Bible

Daily Reading Bible

So Many Questions

So Many Questions

Six Steps to Talking about Jesus

Six Steps to Talking about Jesus

This is a course designed to be done in a small group context (3-8 people), and does not require an 'expert leader'. It is ideal preparation for a church mission.

Two Ways to Live

Two Ways to Live

The Two Ways to Live: Know and share the gospel course stems from the conviction that every Christian should know and understand the gospel clearly, and be able to explain their faith effectively when the opportunity arises.

Still not convinced?

As you can see, a lot is included in a paid GoThereFor membership. But the resources are only part of the story.

If you're still not convinced of the benefits of a GoThereFor paid membership, here are a few more considerations:

  • A GoThereFor membership can help you save time, so you can concentrate on the ministry and people that God has given you. No need to hunt high and low for a book, order it, wait for deliveries to arrive, or worry whether each person has a copy of whatever it is you're studying next.
  • You might like to use one of the GoThereFor studies as a starting point for developing your own material—that's great—you will have saved time, and you can still give your group the kind of personalised lessons they're used to.
  • You will save money, compared to buying books for everyone in your group. After the second study, you're already better off. And there are no extra books to buy and return—you just download what you need, based on your license.
  • A GoThereFor membership can help you by providing resources for the spontaneous training opportunities that pop up during ministry. Need to encourage someone in developing their small group leading skills, or even their preaching skills? There are GoThereFor resources to help, and they're ready to download and share.
  • A GoThereFor membership can help you change your church or small group culture. By running courses like Six Steps to Loving your Church, your group will become more aware of what they're doing when they head into church. They will start looking for opportunities to minister to the people around them.
  • A GoThereFor membership can help you deepen your knowledge of God's word—it's easy to download a Bible study booklet and work through it, even if you don't have a group that's working through the materials at the moment.
  • And there are plenty of other resources in the library that can help people engage with the deeper, practical questions of life. What's life all about? What is predestination? What do I do about my friend's depression? What does the Bible say about work?

And don't forget, by paying for your GoThereFor membership you're helping us provide these resources to Christians around the world, even in places where these resources are normally scarce or unaffordable.
