Issue of the week

Many Protestants celebrated observed Reformation Sunday last weekend, and here RC Sproul addresses the question, "Is the Reformation over?".

And in a kind of anti-link of the week, read if you dare this report of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry's installation, 'The Desolation of the Episcopal Church' over in the USA. You might think this should be more at home on a parody website, but it’s apparently all too tragically true. If this doesn’t convince you that there’s a time to speak in the strongest and hardest possible terms against false teaching, indeed rank heresy, then nothing will. We still need protest and reformation.

 Making disciples of Jesus

Justin Taylor shared an excellent extended reflection on the relationship between Christianity and words, moving from theology into practice.

Lovely final sentence:

May the Lord help us use our words in accord with the Word of God as we seek to walk with the Word made flesh.

And Kevin DeYoung reminds you to thank God for your normal, boring life.

Ray Galea brings home his series of confessions of an angry pastor.

Os Guinness speaks with crystal clarity on Christians carving out space to disagree agreeably in the public square in this video worth nine minutes of your time. (It’s an impressive example of speaking without notes too.)
