“‘… that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing’ (Jas 1:4). This is the call of every Christian leader: to bring back those who’ve strayed, and lead on to Christlikeness all who have trusted Jesus. James has always been a much-needed word for the church in every place and time.”

Matthias Bible Guides assist in personal and group study of various books of the Bible, one book at a time. In this volume, Michael Raiter, the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching, unpacks the New Testament book of James.

Michael Raiter is the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching (based in Melbourne), which trains people across Australia and the world in biblical preaching. He’s married to Sarah, and they have four adult children and three grandchildren. He is the author of over 40 books and articles, including the 2004 Australian Christian Book of the Year, Stirrings of the Soul (Matthias Media). He’s written three Lenten Studies, The Shadows of the Cross (2017), I Saw a Lamb (2020), and Up From the Grave (2023). Mike enjoys walks with Sarah to coffee shops and Scandinavian crime novels.
