“Wrestling with Amos is worth it. My hope is that by the time we have travelled together through this small, strange, and supremely interesting book of the Bible, you would be more enthralled by what we have in Jesus and more committed to living as his disciple.”

Matthias Bible Guides assist in personal and group study of various books of the Bible, one book at a time. In this volume, experienced Bible teacher and ministry trainer Jeremy Meeks unpacks the Old Testament book of Amos.

Jeremy Meeks is the Director and Lead Instructor of the Chicago Course on Preaching. He is also the Assistant Pastor for Ministry Apprenticeships at Christ Church Chicago. Before moving to Chicago he served as a senior pastor in Nashville, TN. Before that, he and his wife were church-planting missionaries in Nicaragua. Jeremy did his undergraduate work at Liberty University. He earned an MA in Bioethics from Trinity Graduate School. His thesis was on the distinction between robot and human bodies. He went on to complete a PhD in Theological Ethics from the University of Aberdeen. He is married to Marjorie, and they have two children, Alexis and Jake.
